Scope and content

A collection of the musical works, correspondence and ephemera of former Oakham music director Peter Witchell. This series contains an excellent collection of full and single instrument scores.

These items are fully appraised into the collection.

It is not expected that any accruals will be made to this collection.

System of arrangement

This sub-fonds is divided into 10 series. The arrangement of the collection was mainly inherited however some small adjustments have been made by moving items into sub-series when applicable. The collection largely retains the form and order of when it was donated to the Archives. Any digital files are stored in folders that replicate the series arrangement.
