Research file compiled by O.O. Roger Anderson ('39) on Second Lieutenant Charles Caldwell Sills, 1st Battalion South Wales Borderers. The file include photographs, Sills family history, copies of The History of the South Wales Borderers, maps, and extracts from he battalion's war diary.

The sub-series focuses on the Humfrey Family, more particularly on Stuart and Douglas Humfrey, and include "The Humf Letters".

A collection of material which focuses on Old Oakhamians and their military careers. The bulk of the collection focuses on the two World Wars and research of the OOs who sadly fell.

The strongest part of this sub-fonds is the material relating to the First World War. It contains research on many Old Oakhamians and whole OO families who fought during the conflict such as the Humfreys and the Scotts. Much of the material is paper research but there are some original photographic material included.

WWS/2 focuses on the Second World War. Most of the collection looks at Oakham between 1939 and 1945 or the commemorations that have subsequently occurred.

A War Certificate "A" awarded on 24 April 1944 to Cadet John David Witter who passed the examination on 21 March 1944.

Research material on some soldiers and their family, most notably the Neilson brothers and the Sills family.

A monograph written an updated by Brian Needham on Old Oakhamians and their Military War Service. produced for the unveiling of the Battle of Britain Memorial plaque in the Chapel by Air Chief Marshall Sir Simon Bryant.

The sub-series include three large scrapbook containing news paper cuttings of every of the First World War, research booklets, a book donated to the school and several photographs.

A collection of material which focuses on Old Oakhamians who fell in the First World War, containing personal and family items and research.

Correspondence, both emails and letters, regarding a memoir on Gordon Sanderson and the memoir written by Niall Campbell, Gordon Sanderson's grandson.
