A collection which focuses on the history of the school campus and buildings. There is an excellent photographic record of the school campus including the development of both houses and teaching buildings.

This series is related to the buildings on the School campus and documents their history. Most of the collection is made of photographs and artwork, as well as architectural plans. Each sub-series focusses on a different building.

A collection of photographs and art work relating to the whole School Campus, in particular aerial photographs from 1937 of the School and the town, and a file of individual photographs of buildings around the campus. The oldest items in this sub-series date back to the 19th century.

An almost complete collection of Oakham School magazines dating from 1884. Some editions are available as individuals whilst others can be found in larger bound volumes. There is also a collection of the Old Oakhamian magazine which is a separate school magazine for Old Oakhamians and their news.

This magazine covers all aspects of school life. Sporting, academic, and artistic achievements of the pupils are celebrated alongside news updates from various departments. In later issues, c. 1980s, houses are given space to announce news and in house achievements.

Sporting records are a key component of the magazine since its inception and there are accounts of matches (including scores and teams) in each edition. Again, since the 1980s, focus has shifted to also include all of the teams that compete for the school, instead of just focusing on the A team.

Images and photographs start to appear in the magazines from the 1970s and the magazine was first printed fully in colour in the 1990s.

A collection of documents, including photographs and art works, of Chapmans, formerly Junior House, built in 1910. The Georgian-style house stood on a ground of one-and-a-half acres. It consisted of dormitories and classrooms facing south which were “well-lighted and ventilated”. The Junior House had been built initially in order to provide a well-equipped Junior Department for a limited number of boarders. In 1936, a new wing was added to the house, comprising a large dining hall, a leisure room, and a new sick room. Rooms were also designed for a House Tutor. The original house was improved, especially the kitchens where “all wash-basins were fitted with hot and cold water, and baths and lavatories were added”.
In September 1960, the Junior House was set to become a Senior House and was renamed Chapmans, after Frank Emerson Chapman, first Housemaster of the Junior House. In 1961, a wide new wing was built on what was the playground. The boys could now enjoy the comfort of new changing rooms, a common room and studies. Above, a dormitory accommodation and rooms for the House Tutor were also added. The old dining room was expanded into a former common room.

This collection highlights the depth and breadth of the school's curriculum and pupil's work. The drama and music sub-series are particularly detailed with their collection of production stills and programmes.

CUR/7 contains reports relating to the school's teaching and curriculum alongside timetables for lessons and exams, and comprehensive examination results for GCSE, A Level and IB.

Throughout the series in this collection, there is material relating to events and trips undertaken by various departments to increase the extra-curricular activities of pupils.
