Oakham School

A collection of documents relating to the School's first cricket pavilion. It was built on the playing fields in the 19th century. It was then enlarged and renovated in 1931, when two changing rooms and a thatched roof were added. It unfortunately burnt in May 1970.

Sights and Sounds of Oakham School

A group of 430 slides taken by Jim Bride for the project "Sights and Sounds of Oakham School" between 1975 and 1976. Slides show staff and pupils in houses, on campus and in lessons, buildings, sporting events and other aspects of everyday life at school.

There is one series dedicated to a large collection of photographic negatives which show the campus, daily life at school, and special events. These cover the period 1978 - 1988.
One series focus on the frescoes painted by Mary Sargant Florence in Old School and is rich in research about the frescoes and the artist.
