This collection contains material relating to the history of the houses and their pupils. Each series is focused on a different house and many contain rich and detailed photographic records of houses year by year. Some houses are more detailed than others.

Other highlights of this collection include house handbooks, which help to induct a pupil into a house and its daily routine; photographs of daily life, including house events and leisure time; and administrative documents such as house diaries which record the calendar of house events, achievements of pupils, and accounts of incidents.

Included in this sub-fonds are houses which are no longer in existence such as Johnsons and Ruddles.

A collection which focuses on the history of the school campus and buildings. There is an excellent photographic record of the school campus including the development of both houses and teaching buildings.

The collection contains architectural plans for buildings and press releases/ photographs of the opening of new additions to the school campus.

This sub-fonds contains general policy documents more relevant to the estates and IT daily functions.

A collection of photographs and art work relating to the whole School Campus, in particular aerial photographs from 1937 of the School and the town, and a file of individual photographs of buildings around the campus. The oldest items in this sub-series date back to the 19th century.

This file focusses on photographs on the School Campus throughout the years. Some photographs are of the whole campus, in particular aerial photographs taken by Aerofilms Ltd, and some are collection of individual buildings, taken by Companies or individuals.

A wooden trophy made to look like a scroll with a large metal medallion in the centre and seven small ones, of which four are engraved with the wining house and year. The trophy was for the interhouse public speaking competition. The list of winners is as follows: Stevens in 1992; Haywoods in 1993; Buchanans in 1994 and 1995.

This sub-file focusses on the stay of the National Youth Chamber Orchestra at Oakham School in August 1993, including details of the arrangements, correspondence, and programmes of their performances at Peterborough Cathedral, The Maltings, Oakham School Chapel, and The Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
